“Cool, sophisticated jazz musicians” – Lincolnshire Life Magazine

Dominic is a talented and experienced jazz musician playing double or electric bass and heads up The Holmes Jazz Ensemble. Based in Lincoln the ensemble covers the East Midlands region. Band leader Dominic graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2011 and has played all over the world on-board RMS Queen Mary 2 from 2012 to 2015 as part of the house Jazz band. Dominic has worked alongside many internationally renowned jazz musicians during his tenure at sea, including Rodney Jones (faculty member at Juilliard School of Music, New York) and Larry Goldings (Grammy nominated jazz pianist/organist). In 2015 he was present during Cunard’s 175th Anniversary celebrations and performed for the CEO of Cunard, David Dingle, and the Mayor of Liverpool, Joe Anderson.

Dominic can provide a variety of different jazz musicians and instrument line-ups to cater to your needs, from gentle double bass and guitar duo up to hard-swinging quintets. The repertoire covers all styles and eras of jazz, and can tailor sets to your specifications (for example, 1920’s themed evening or Swing Era Classics). Singers are also available on request and non-jazz tunes may also be performed when issued with at least 2-3 weeks prior notice before the event. The ensemble is fully self contained providing all the equipment required for their performance.

They are the perfect accompaniment for drink receptions, dinner parties or corporate events at a very competitive rate.
